Kilimanjaro
Team members, from left to right: Phil Wu, Andrea Manson, Robert Hill, Clinton Shard, Jimmy MacKenzie and Paul Head.
Team IBD Adventures reached the summit of the highest free standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa on September 13, 2009. In the process they raised $30,110.98, which was split equally between the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada and IDEAS. Funds donated to IDEAS are used to support quality of life enhancing programs for children and youth afflicted with intestinal diseases–like accessing specialized summer camp programs and education programs–as well as grants to recognized IBD research facilities.
